HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K. Rosaiah on Friday defended the exercise for allocation of party tickets for the GHMC elections by saying that those dealing with the selection of candidates had followed the AICC’s guidelines.

Talking to presspersons, Mr. Rosaiah said if any person felt that mistakes were made, adjustments could always be made.

Pressed for his reaction on the charges that a Minister had sold Congress party tickets to candidates for large sums of money, the Chief Minister said dissonance was “an internal matter”.

He, however, said it was not proper for party leaders to come into the streets to fight. Also, “it is not proper on my part to douse more kerosene on the fire”.

Mr. Rosaiah said he did not know if there was any proposal by the party high command to replace Veerappa Moily as AICC general secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs.
