Bodies of mother and daughter recovered

Charred bodies of a woman and her daughter were found in their house at Ambedkar Street in Subramaniapuram here on Friday. The deceased were identified as V. Gunasundari (31) and her daughter V. Bhargavi (8) who was a third standard student in a middle school.

According to the police, the woman set her daughter afire and ended her life by setting herself ablaze in their house. The woman’s husband, a welder, was working in Tiruppur. The police said the woman used to complain of lack of sleep. The K.K. Nagar police have registered a case.
