Staffer held for theft

HYDERABAD: An accounts executive turned out to be the accused in stealing cash chest of a private office reported four days ago at Banjara Hills.

The police arrested the accounts executive, N. Iragam Reddy, 27, and his brother, N. Ramakrishna Reddy, 25, and recovered Rs. 10.13 lakh from them. The private office manager approached the police on Monday stating he found the cash chest stolen on coming to office. The office was locked for the weekend on the evening of October 31 but the doors were found ajar on Monday morning. Suspecting role of insiders, the police detained Iragam Reddy who admitted to have stolen cash chest and passed on the cash to his brother. Based on his confession, the entire stolen amount was recovered intact.
