BANGALORE: Speaking about the continuing inefficiency at passport offices around the country, Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor said that apart from random, surprise visits at various passport offices, a pilot project of the Passport Seva Kendras would be started in Bangalore and Chandigarh next month. “We will have employees from Tata Consultancy Services run most of the logistical operations,” he said.

“If they are successful, we will roll out several of these across the country,” he added.
