Anti-social element arrested

Bangalore: Anti-social element S. Ravichandran with aliases such as Ravi and Kaat Ravi (39), who was wanted by the police here in connection with several cases, was arrested on Pipeline Road near Narihalla in Hanumanthanagar here on November 2.

The police recovered a country-made revolver, three rounds of live ammunition, iron rods and other weapons from him.

The Hanumanthanagar police said that another wanted man, Rajesh alias Koli Rajesh and others, managed to flee.

The police said that six men were in a multi-utility vehicle and had planned to attack their rivals. But the police, who were tipped off, intercepted them near Narihalla. Kaat Ravi was released from the Bangalore Central Prison in Parappana Agrahara a month ago, the police said.

At least 20 cases, including murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, robbery and extortion, have been registered against Kaat Ravi in different police stations in the city.
