BIDAR: Members of the Bidar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) have urged Union Minister for Labour M. Mallikarjun Kharge and Member of Parliament N. Dharam Singh to ensure that a provident fund office is set up in Bidar for the convenience of the people. In a release here on Monday, BCCI president B.G. Shetkar said there were many Union Government and State Government offices in Bidar, including an Air Force Station. Many employees had complained that they were facing problems owing to the absence of a provident fund office here. He said the work relating to issues such as provident fund was being handled by the Provident Fund Regional Commissioner, Manoj Shankar, at Gulbarga, and that decentralisation was required. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
