Mohapatra panel begins hearing

BERHAMPUR: Justice Sarat Mohapatra Commission probing into the communal violence that occurred in Kandhamal district started its hearing at Phulbani on Monday. On the first day of hearing two persons, Nabakrushna Samal the former assistant sub-inspector of Phiringia police station and Narayan Raut the Officer in charge of Gochhapada police station deposed before the commission. But Ranjit Nayak, another police personnel scheduled to depose remained absent.
