GMC to get funds under Rajiv Awas Yojna

GUNTUR: The Guntur Municipal Corporation is all set to get a significant chunk of funds from the Union Government for undertaking a comprehensive slum development project under the Rajiv Awas Yojna, Mayor Rayapati Mohana Sai Krishna said on Monday.

Speaking to reporters here on the sidelines of his visit to New Delhi, where he met Union Minister for Urban Development S. Jaipal Reddy, Mr. Mohana Sai Krishna said that four major components, including roads, underground drainage, drinking water and housing would be taken under the programme.
