Cash stolen

CHENNAI: A sum of Rs. 1.05 lakh was reported stolen from a retail store in Velachery here on Monday. According to police sources, the shop manager had lodged a complaint that when he came to open the shop at around 6.30 a.m., he found the lock of the main door broken. The money kept in the cash box was missing. The accused had snapped the wires of the surveillance camera before committing the theft, the sources said.
