RTC bus falls into canal

NELLORE: About 40 passengers including 15 students sustained injuries when an APSRTC bus fell into a canal at Amancharla village in the district on Thursday. According to the sources, the ‘Palle Velugu’ bus proceeding to Nellore fell in a canal from the bridge when the driver lost control over the bus in a bid to give way to another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The injured were shifted to the hospital and the condition of a few of the passengers is stated to be critical. Police rushed to the spot and rescued the passengers.
