It was high voltage stuff. The third edition of The Hindu-Young World Quiz on August 31, saw 1101 teams pariticpating and as much noise as an average football/cricket match. The preliminary round was soon over and then came the Chennai regional finals for which six teams battled it out. Finally, the girls' team - Vansa David and R. Aishwarya from SBOA - won without much sweat. K. Siddarth and R. Vasanth from PSBB were second and C. Sunil and Thrivikraman from P.S. Senior came third.
The title sponsors were Eveready Industries India Ltd and the official drink was Coca-Cola. The co-sponsors were The Fourth R India, TI Cycles, Britannia and Titan Dash Watches.
