Flying freedom

Citibank Chennai celebrated Independence Day by flying tricolour kites, made by children at the workshop on kite making.

Citibank celebrated Independence Day in their Chennai Branch with a colourful festival of kites. A workshop on kite making for children marked the occasion.

The children who gathered in large numbers brought out their best and their proud parents and customers of the bank witnessed their creativity.

It was interesting to watch the children use the tricolour to decorate their kites. Haseen Taj, vice president inaugurated the event and Tusti Barua, branch manager, distributed gifts to the children.

Amidst the decorated premises and patriotic songs playing in the background the children had a good time. Ms. Bharathy Bhaskar, service head, explained that the theme of the celebrations was "Freedom" and as a kite symbolises freedom, Citibank was celebrating the event as a Festival of Kites.
